Diploma  of Associate Engineering (DAE)

Basic Courses:

Nine Foundation Institute of Technology (Tech) organize six month Basic Courses starting with effect from 1st week of April and October each year in technical skills relating to the following disciplines:-

  • Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
  • Armature / Motor Winding
  • Electrician
  • Plumbing
  • Welding
  • Computer Hardware / Software

Short Courses:

Besides Basic Courses, different Short Courses of 4 to 24 weeks duration are also organized throughout the year in a large number of disciplines, e.g

• Electronics
• Mobile Phone
•  Maintenance Repair of Window and Split AC Refrigeration
• Repair / Maintenance of Home Appliances,
• Plumbing / Sanitary Fitting
• Armature / Motor Winding
• Welding (TIG/MIG/Spot/X-Ray)
• Civil Surveying
• Auto Electrician
• Computer Hardware
• CIT
• Web Designing
• Graphics Designing
• Freelancing

Approximately 3000 – 3500 students are trained in Basic Courses and 2000 – 2500 students are trained in Short Courses annually. 51739 students till 31 Mar 2018 have been imparted technical training in Basic Courses and 32077 till 31 May 2018 in Short Courses. Developments in the technical field are closely monitored and gaps in the training curriculum are constantly plugged to keep the teaching abreast of the requirements.

A large number of students trained by FITs have been absorbed in the local market and a sizeable number have got employment abroad.

Free training material being paid to the beneficiary students in Basic Courses. Annually an amount of Rs. 4.00 M (approximately) being paid to beneficiaries students.
